The Union Public Service Commission is a national body which conducts exams like Civil Services Exam, IFS, NDA, CDS, SCRA etc. for vacancies in the Indian Public Service positions. The most predominant exam held by the UPSC is the Civil Services Exam which covers twenty-four different categories like the IAS, IFS, IPS, IRS, IRPS etc.
The first round of the Civil Services Examination 2017 was held on June 18, 2017. UPSC Prelims results were declared on July 28, 2017. Around 13,300 candidates were qualified for the Mains examinations.
Candidates who have cleared the UPSC Preliminary Exams have to apply again and fill in the online detailed application form. These forms were available from August 17 to 31, 2017.
