UPSC Prelims Examinations 2018-19 will be held on 3rd June 2018 and the Civil Services Exam’s application forms were available for filling from 7th February 2018 after the release of the notification. The candidates willing to appear in the Civil Services Exam 2018-19 have to apply online to take part in the UPSC Online Registration process by filling the application form online by logging onto the UPSC official website.
Here you need to provide personal information to apply online, which includes name, address, community details and your parent’s name.

On this page, preferences for Indian Military Academy (IMA), Naval Academy (NA), Air Force Academy (AFA), Officers Training Academy (OTA) are to be provided. Providing at least one preference is compulsory. Since Female candidates are eligible for OTA only, they should indicate OTA as the only preference.
Candidates who desire to join Air Force Academy must indicate AFA as the first choice. If a candidate does not want to indicate AFA as his preference, then he must indicate “o” against it.
On this page, you are also required to indicate, whether you have or are likely to have NCC ‘C’ certificate (Sr. Division) and whether you are already serving in the armed forces.
On this page, you are also required to indicate whether you belong to a Sainik School. The response is to be furnished by using “Yes” or “No”.

All the information provided by the candidate will be displayed here and the candidate can move back and make corrections if needed. No change in the information filled in will be allowed at any later stages of the examination process. Be careful with the correctness of all the information when you apply online for UPSC registration.
Once all the information has been verified as correctly entered, click on “Continue” button at the bottom of the page to go to the fourth page.
The system will display a system generated unique UPSC Registration ID with the essential information about the candidate which includes name, parents name, DOB, address etc. The application will only be accepted with the Part – II Registration.
Here, PART-I of the Online Application procedure is complete. A candidate has to complete the PART-II Registration for the successful Online Application submission.
This part of the UPSC online registration involves the following actions
A candidate has the option to either agree or disagree with the contents of Declaration by clicking on ‘I have read Declaration & Agree’ or ‘I Do Not Agree’ buttons. Accepting the ‘I have read Declaration & Agree’ will submit the candidate’s Online Application.
There are three options for fee payment:
The application form should be filled with updated information, and the candidate should ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria at the time of application. The UPSC will accept only a complete application form of Part 1 and 2.
Offline Mode: Candidates can pay the application fee in cash at any of the State Bank of India branches. While paying the application fee via the offline mode, candidates should take the print out of the system-generated challan of the Part I registration.
Online Mode: Candidates who are paying the application fee via online mode can pay through Net Banking of State Bank of India/State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.
IMPORTANT – UPSC entertains NO request for withdrawal of candidature received from a candidate after he/she has submitted his/her UPSC application under no circumstances. Therefore, candidates are advised to be careful and crosscheck the application form before final submission.
However, it should be noted that the attempt is calculated after the candidate has taken the Prelims examination and not after filling the form.
For example, suppose a candidate filled his form but didn’t sit for UPSC Prelims. Then, this attempt will not be calculated.
