SAIL Recruitment 2019 - The Steel Authority of India (SAIL) has released the notification for the position of Management Trainee (Technical) through GATE 2019. Candidates can fill out the application form for recruitment SAIL 2019 recruitment from November 25 to December 15. Earlier, the exam conducting body had released the detailed notification in May 2019. So, the candidates who have already registered in May are not required to fill the application form SAIL recruitment 2019.
Candidates who have completed their engineering in the disciplines of Electrical, Metallurgy, Mechanical, Chemical, Mining, and Instrumentation will be eligible to apply.

SAIL is allotted the Maharatna status and is a major steelmaker with an annual turnover of Rs. 49,180 crores. It belongs to India’s Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) and has integrated steel plants at Durgapur, Bhilai, Bokaro, Burnpur, and Rourkela.

Essential Steps on SAIL Recruitment Application Form 2019:

  • Candidates can apply for their recruitment in SAIL through its official website by entering their GATE 2019 registration number as mentioned in their admit card
  • Candidates can register with their official email address, the post which they would be required to fill in the necessary details, such as personal information, academic details, work experience, etc.
  • Candidates are also required to upload a series of documents mentioned below:

  • Post the submission of the form, candidates will receive a notification on their registered number and email address, and candidates would have to verify thier candidature by clicking on that link
  • Post verification, the candidates would have to refresh the page post which they will be redirected to SBI Collect web page wherein they would be required to pay the application fee according to the following guidelines:

  • Post the fee payment, candidates are required to log in to the SAIL portal and enter their reference number and transaction date in the system
  • The system will take 24 hours to process the request, post which the candidate will be able to download the provisional registration slip
  • Only candidates who furnish the provisional registration slip would be eligible for the recruitment process

Selection Process by SAIL Through GATE:

  • The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of marks obtained in GATE 2019. The final merit list will be published on SAIL’s official website, followed by their cutoff marks for each discipline
  • The shortlisted candidates will be called for group discussion and personal interview. The detailed breakup of weightage across different sections is given below:

Final selection would be made on the basis of medical fitness inspection which should satisfy the SAIL guidelines:

  • Minimum weight: 45kg
  • Minimum height: 155 cm
  • Hypermetropia and Myopia (if any): not more than +4.00
  • No squint, colour blindness, or partial blindness

Remuneration For SAIL Recruitment Through GATE 2019:

Management Trainees would be assigned the E1 Grade and will fall under the pay scale of INR 20,600 to INR 46,500 per month. On completion of the training, the candidates will be designated as Junior Managers and will be placed in the pay scale of INR 24,900 to INR 50,500 per month. The total Cost-to-Company (CTC) would be approximately 9.0 Lakhs per year.

Training and Probation:

  • Selected candidates would also have to undergo a minimum training period of one year
  • During this period, the candidates would be paid a Basic Pay of INR 20,6000 per month
  • In addition to this, candidates are also paid an annual Performance Related Pay and are also provided with the superannuation benefit, along with medical support for self and dependents
