RRB Junior Engineer Application form

A job at the Indian Railways is a dream for many freshly graduated engineers. With a massive vacancy of  14,033 vacancies for various kinds of job posts, RRB has released the forms for the exams which are to be held in 2019. The forms were released on the official website, www.indianrailways.gov.in, on 2nd January 2019. The last date of submission of these forms is 31st January 2019.

All the interested candidates can fill out the form and have a chance at the selection process of RRB. The interested applicants can fill the form online and will have to pay the requisite amount for RRB JE application form, which is Rs 500 for all categories and Rs 250 for SC, ST and PWD categories.

The payment for RRB application form can be paid via three means, and  they are:

  • Online Mode: Via net banking, credit card, debit card.
  • Post office Challan: From any branch State Bank
  • Challan from Bank: in computerized from any branch

All about RRB Application Form

The aspirants will be required to fill out the exam form that is released on the official channel. To keep tabs on the railway JE form and other relevant details, then the candidate will need to access www.indianrailways.gov.in. Apart from this, it must be kept in mind that RRB releases forms for different regions on the respective websites. The candidates will need to go to the respective websites and find the form and the application details there. The forms for RRB recruitment 2019 will be done only via online means. Make sure that you have all the necessary details you need to fill the form.

Details for the exam fee

It must be kept in mind that when you submit your RRB application form, you need to keep in mind that you will be charged a fee for submission. The candidate is required to pay the fee at the time of submitting the form. Unless the candidate pays the fee for the exam form, the candidate will not be able to submit the 2019 RRB application form.

Steps to fill the RRB Application Form

The RRB JE application form is already out, and the last date of submission is on 31st January 2019. The interested candidates will be able to fill their forms on the respective website for the regions. The RRB regions and their websites are mentioned above in the article.

Here are the steps that an applicant is required to follow for submitting the RRB JE application form successfully:

  • The candidate will be required to visit the official website of RRB to find the online application form according to their preferred zones or regions.
  • Next, the candidate will be required to choose the job post they wish to apply for.
  • Then the applicant will be required to select on the “Apply” button.
  • The applicant will find a link, “New Registration Link.” Click on that.
  • Next, a page with various blanks will load up. The applicant will be required to clearly spell out their personal details, communication details and all other kinds of necessary details. This has to be done carefully in order to avoid any problems in the future.
  • After filling out qualification details and personal details, the applicant will be required to pay the requisite amount to submit the form.
  • Once the fee is paid, the applicant’s form will be submitted, and the applicant will be alloted a registration number.

It must be kept in mind that the applicant should save the following details for future reference:

  • The transaction ID of the fee payment,
  • The registration number,
  • And the communication details, which should not go out of service until the results are out.

It must be remembered that any final year student will not be allowed to fill the RRB recruitment form.

Documents Required at the Time of Applying RRB JE Exam

When the applicant fills the railway JE form, the applicant must have the following documents ready in order to fill the form. Here is what an applicant requires:

  • A recent coloured photo scanned as per the requirements mentioned in the form.
  • Candidates scanned copy of the signature, as per the requirements mentioned in the form.
  • Their category certificate, if applicable.
  • Email address.
  • Details of their Aadhar Card.
  • A valid ID proof scanned.
  • A valid mobile number.
  • Details of their qualification.

Apart from this, the photograph to be attached to the application should not be in contravention to the instructions given by RRB for application forms. The candidate should not wear any accessories, such as goggles or hats, in the picture.

Procedure to be followed for RRB JE Application Modification / Correction

It must be kept in mind that the application needs to be filled carefully. An applicant or a candidate will not be allowed to modify their information once entered. Some details in the form can be modified, but with a fee. Any discrepancy found in the details filled in the exam form during the verification, the candidate will be barred from the selection process.

Here are the information details that cannot be changed:

  • RRB group,
  • Email address, and
  • Mobile number.

Other details on the form can be changed once the candidate pays a fee. Here is all that you need to know about modifying or correcting the exam form:

  • Furthermore, there are only two chances to modify the form. The candidate cannot modify the form after two times.
  • The modification fee per modification is Rs 250.
  • The candidate will not be able to make modifications after the application process closes.
  • If the candidate changes their category from Reserved(SC/ST/OBC-NCL/Ex-SM, widows, etc.) to Unreserved or OBC, then the candidate will be required to pay a fee of Rs 250 and additional Rs 100.

The selection process for recruitment by RRB in 2019 will be based on the following:

  • Scores obtained on the RRB recruitment exam in 2019.
  • The minimum scores required by:
    • General Category is 40%
    • For OBC Category is 30%
    • For SC Category is 30%
    • For ST Category is 25%
  • The selected candidates will be required to undergo a fitness or medical test, document verification and a personal interview.
