RPSC RAS Exam 2020: Popularly known Rajasthan Administrative Services (RAS) Exam, is conducted by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission, which is the constitutional body responsible for fair and transparent recruitment processes for various position in the Public-office of the state of Rajasthan.
RPSC conducts various examinations, which include Rajasthan Administrative Services, Subordinate Services, State engineering services, Forest services, Police Services, etc.
However, Rajasthan Administrative Services is the most popular exam as it opens the door for the elite services in the state government, which include Rajasthan Administrative Services, Rajasthan Police Services. Rajasthan Accounts Services, Rajasthan Industrial Services etc.

RPSC RAS Exam 2020 Dates
The RPSC RAS 2020 notification is not yet released. The official advertisement for the exam is expected to be out in the month of June 2020. Below given are the tentative dates of the exam events.

RPSC RAS Exam Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
All the aspirants applying for should possess a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Final Year students of Bachelor degrees may also apply, but they have to produce proof of qualifying the degree for getting admission in the Mains examination.
Age Limit
As per the notification, the candidates applying for the Rajasthan state civil services combined competitive examination must be minimum of 21 years and a maximum of less than 40 years.

RPSC RAS Exam Pattern
The Combined Competitive Examination will be held in two successive stages-
Preliminary Examination
The Preliminary Examination will consist of one paper on General Knowledge & General Science, which will be of objective type and carry a maximum of 200 marks. The examination is meant to serve as a screening test only. The Standard of the paper will be that of a Bachelor s Degree Level. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination by the candidates, who are declared qualified for admission to Main Examination will not be counted for determining their final order of merit.
Main examination
(a) The number of candidates to be admitted to the Main Examination will be 15 times the total approximate number of vacancies (category wise) to be filled in the year in the various Services and posts, but in the said range all those candidates who secure the same percentage of marks as may be fixed by the Commission for any lower range will be admitted to the Main Examination.
(b) The written examination will consist of the following four papers which will be descriptive/analytical. A candidate must take all the papers listed below which will also consist of question paper of brief, medium, long answer and descriptive type questions. The standard of General Hindi and General English will be that of Sr. Secondary level. The time allowed for each paper shall be 3 hours.

Personality Test
Candidates who obtain such minimum qualifying marks in the written test of the Main Examination as may be fixed by the Commission in their discretion shall be summoned by them for an interview for a personality test which carries 100 marks. The Commission shall award marks to each candidate interviewed by them. In interviewing the candidates besides awarding marks in respect of character, personality, address, physique, marks shall also be awarded for the candidate s knowledge of the Rajasthani culture.

How to Become a RAS officer?
A candidate has to qualify RAS exam to become a RAS officer. RAS exam is a competitive exam conducted by RPSC from time to time to fill the vacancies in state government offices. Lakhs of students apply for the exam and only a small percentage of them qualify for the exam to become a RAS officer.
The minuscule success ratio in the exam makes it one of the toughest exam in the country and therefore, to successfully qualify the exam a candidate needs utmost dedication and hard work.
