NEET Application Form 2020

The application form for NEET 2020 will be available from November 2019  and will be released by National Testing Agency (NTA), the governing body for NEET. A candidate who wishes to study MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery) and BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) needs to qualify for this exam. The last date to submit the application form will be December 2019 and the process will be conducted online.

NEET Eligibility Criteria 2020

The eligibility criteria is the most basic requirement for applying for NEET 2020 online application, which depends on a number of factors such as nationality, academic qualification, and age. The detailed information on eligibility criteria is given below:

NEET Exam Nationality Eligibility

Candidates of Indian nationality, PIOs, OCIs and foreign nationals can apply for this exam. The students who want to study medicine from foreign University also needs to qualify for this exam.

NEET Exam Academic Qualifications

The candidates who had studied physics, chemistry, biology, and English in 12 standards are eligible. Although it is important that the candidate must have achieved a minimum qualifying score in these subjects along with at least 50% aggregate score. Candidates belonging to reserved category must score at least 40% marks in aggregate while PWD candidates require at least 45% marks in aggregate.

NEET Age Limit 

In order to apply for NEET, the candidate must be 17 years of age during the time of admission. The age limitation is the same for reserved and PWD candidates. There is no upper age limit to apply for NEET 2020. It must be remembered, that candidates must fill in the same date of birth as mentioned in their proofs because the proof has to be uploaded during the application form filling process. If the date of birth mentioned in the form and proof mismatch then there is a risk of cancellation of the application form.

The application form will be available from November 2019. In order to fill the application form, candidates must be eligible and must have all the documents that are required for filling up the form. The information needed in order to apply for application form are as follows:

  • A working mobile number
  • An email address
  • Class 10th and 12th details
  • Some important documents that include Aadhar card, voter Id, bank account, passport number, and any other govt identity number.

Steps For Filling Neet Application Form 2020

There are fixed steps in order to fill the application form, you need to follow these steps very carefully as small spelling mistake could risk your application form. The steps for filling the form have been mentioned below:

NEET Application Registration

  • The very first step you need to follow is registering on the official website for NEET application 2020.
  • To do the registration, you need to provide your details such as name, email id, your mobile number etc. After filling in the details you need to create a password according to the required specifications.
  • An OTP  will be sent to your registered number, you have to enter the OTP and then you need to click the final submit tab. After this, you will get an application number, which will act as your NEET 2020 candidate login id.

After registering, the next step is filling the application form.  Care should be taken to fill the same details as mentioned in your 10th certificate. The details that need to be filled are as follows:

Personal details: As you have already submitted some of your personal details during registration, so you don't need to fill the same details again. But you have to provide  some other personal details and answer a few questions as well, that are as follows:

    You can choose your medium from all the languages available that include

    After filling the details, you must review your details before final submission.

    NEET Application - Uploading Photograph And Signature

    After submission, you need to upload your photograph and signature along with the scanned copies of the documents.

    NEET Application Form 2020 – Correction Window

    Lots of students do make mistakes while filling up the form for the first time, therefore a definite amount of time is provided for making corrections. A correction window is opened for a certain time and candidates can utilise it to modify their details.

    In order to modify the changes in the application form, you need to log in using your application form number and password.

    Follow the procedure mentioned  below to make changes in your application form:

    • Go to the official website that is and log in using your application number and password.
    • After login, a page will open on the screen here will be a tab named “'Click here for correction in NEET (UG) 2020 Application Form”. Click on this tab, your application form will appear on the screen.
    • Now, you can edit any field that you want, after modifying your application form you must click on “preview and submit” button.
    • An OTP  will be sent to your registered number, you have to enter the OTP and then you need to click the final submit tab.
    • After you click the final submit tab, you will get a notification that this is the final correction and you will not get any further chance to modify your application form.
    • Once the application form is thoroughly checked, click on “Please Do” to confirm. Otherwise, please call on “Oops No” if some more changes are needed to be made.
    • A final correction slip will get generated listing all your details along with corrected fields. Save it and take a print out of this slip.

    Many students face the problem of discrepancies in the uploaded photograph and signature. NEET informs the candidates of these discrepancies through email. Candidates must remove these discrepancies within 1 week of receiving the official mail.

    To upload a new photograph or signature, follow the  steps mentioned below:

    • Login to your NEET application form using your details.
    • Go to the official website that is and log in using your application number and password.
    • After login, you can see the option of uploading a photograph or signature on the screen.
    • Do upload the photograph or signature in accordance with the specifications required, these specifications have been mentioned above.
    • Do make sure that there are no such discrepancies this time and then click the submit button.
    • An OTP  will be sent to your registered number, you have to enter the OTP and then you need to click the final submit tab.
    • A final correction slip will get generated listing all your details along with corrected fields. Save it and take a print out of this slip.

    FAQs for NEET Application

    1. Can we make changes in the application form after submission?

    Yes, if you want to change your details, then NTA provides a correction window in order to modify your application. However, the candidate is allowed to change only a few details.

    2. If your fees deducted two times, then will it be refunded?

    Yes, if you have paid your application fees twice then the authority will accept it only once and you will get the refund back in 7 days.

    3. Is NEET application form available offline?

    No, NEET application form is available in online mode only which needs to be submitted on the official website.

    4. Are there any precautions that must be taken care of for NEET?

    Yes, you should not share your login password with anybody and keep it to yourself.

    5. I forgot my password, can I retrieve it again?

    Yes, you can retrieve your password. You can retrieve your password by writing to the authority or you can do it by answering the security question.

    6. Is it allowed to attach a photo without name and signature?

    No, you have to attach photo having your name and signature on it.

    7. If I am not able to come for the exam, will my application fees be refunded?

    No, it will not be refunded under any circumstances.

    8. If I am failed in one subject, but my aggregate is above 50%, am I eligible for the exam?

    No, you need to have a passing score in every subject.

    9. My name on the school documents and Aadhar card is different, will I face any problems?

    Your name must be the same in each and every document.

    10. If I have passed my 12th class with physics, chemistry and biology from open school, can I still apply?

    Yes, students of open school can also apply.
