NEET Application Form 2020 - Apply Online

NEET Application Form 2020 - National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the application form for NEET 2020 on December 2, 2019, on the official website.  A candidate who wishes to study MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery) and BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) must take this exam. The last date to submit the NEET application form is December 31, 2019, and the process will be conducted online.

NEET 2020 Application Form

The application form will be available from December 2, 2019. To fill the application form, candidates must be eligible and must have all the documents that are required for filling up the form. The following information is required:

  • A working mobile number
  • An email address
  • Class 10th and 12th details
  • ID proof such as Aadhar card, Voter ID, Bank Account, Passport or any other Govt ID
  • A scanned photograph, signature, and required documents
  • Credit/debit card details or NetBanking details for paying the application fees

Steps For Filling NEET Application Form 2020

  • Log on to the NTA official website at
  • Click on NEET Application Form 2020
  • In order to register, the candidate must provide details such as name, email id, mobile number, etc.
  • Once the candidate has filled in their details, they must create a password according to the given specifications.
  • An OTP will be sent to their registered number, which will have to be entered when prompted.
  • Click on Submit
  • The candidate will be directed to a page that will provide an application number, which will act as their NEET 2020 candidate login ID.

NEET Application Form Filling Procedure

After registering, the next step is filling the application form. Candidate must fill in their details exactly the same as their 10th standard certificate. The details that need to be filled are as follows:

1. Personal Details

  • Candidate’s Name
  • Mother’s and Father’s Name

  • Date of Birth
  • Nationality
  • Whether you are a Person with a disability, yes or no?
  • Do you belong to Minority Category?

    3. The medium of Question Paper

    Candidate can choose the medium from all the languages available that include

    English, Hindi, Oriya, Assamese, Tamil, Kannada, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Telugu and Urdu.

    4.  Choice of Examination Centre

    The candidate can provide four exam centers in the order of their preference.

    The candidate will need to provide their residential address as well.

    9. Correspondence Address

    In case this is the same as the permanent address the candidate can choose “ same as the permanent address.” If not, then the candidate can enter a different correspondence address.

    10. Details of Parents/ Guardian

    Fill the occupation, qualification and annual income of your parents

    11.Whether the candidate wants to wear something else instead of wearing the custom dress?

    12. Enter the reCAPTCHA pin and submit.

    After filling the details, the candidate must review their details before final submission.

    NEET Application- Uploading Photograph And Signature

    After submission, the candidate will have to upload their photograph and signature along with the scanned copies of the documents.

    NEET Application Form Fee

    The final step is the payment of application fees. Candidates can submit their fees online, using their Debit/Credit/ Net Banking or E- challan of SBI bank. Candidates must download and save the fee slip once the transaction is made. The fee details for candidates are given below:

    NEET Application Form 2020 – Correction Window

    A correction window is open for a specific time, and candidates can utilize it to modify their details in case they made an error while filling up the form the first time. Candidates may follow the procedure mentioned below to make changes in their application form:

    • Log on to the NTA official website
    • Log in using the application number and password created
    • The candidate will be directed to a page with a tab named “'Click here for correction in NEET (UG) 2020 Application Form”. On clicking on this tab, the application form will appear on the screen.
    • The candidate can edit any field that they want, after modifying their application form
    • Once all the corrections are made, click on Preview to review all the changes
    • Click on Submit, once reviewed
    • An OTP will be sent to the candidate's mobile number and will have to be entered when prompted.
    • The candidate will receive a notification that will state that the final corrections were made in the application and no further changes will be given to modify their application. 
    • Once the application form is thoroughly checked, click on “Please Do” to confirm. Otherwise, please call on “Oops No” if some more changes are needed to be made.
    • A final correction slip will get generated listing all your details along with corrected fields. Save it and take a print out of this slip.

    Many students face the problem of discrepancies in the uploaded photograph and signature. NEET informs the candidates of these discrepancies through email. Candidates must remove these discrepancies within 1 week of receiving the official mail.

    To upload a new photograph or signature, follow the  steps mentioned below

    • Log on to the NTA official website at
    • Log in using the application number and password created
    • The candidate will be able to see an option to upload a photograph and signature on the screen.
    • The candidate can upload the photograph or signature following the specifications required, these specifications have been mentioned above.
    • Once successfully uploaded, click on Submit.
    • An OTP will be sent to the candidate's mobile number and will have to be entered when prompted.
    • A final correction slip will get generated listing all your details along with corrected fields. Save it and take a print out of this slip.

    NEET Eligibility Criteria 2020

    Fulfilling the eligibility criteria is the most basic requirement for NEET 2020. This includes several factors such as nationality, academic qualification, and age. The detailed information on eligibility criteria is given below:

    NEET Exam Nationality Eligibility

    Candidates of Indian nationality, PIOs, OCIs and foreign nationals can apply for this exam. The students who want to study medicine from an international University also need to qualify for this exam.

    NEET Exam Academic Qualifications

    The candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in Class 12 are eligible. Candidates must achieve a minimum qualifying score in these subjects along with at least a 50% aggregate score. Candidates belonging to reserved category must score at least 40% marks in aggregate while PWD candidates require at least 45% marks in aggregate.

    NEET Age Limit 

    To apply for NEET, the candidate must be 17 years of age during the time of admission. The age limitation is the same for reserved and PWD candidates. There is no upper age limit to apply for NEET 2020. Candidates must fill in the same date of birth as mentioned in their proofs because the proof has to be uploaded during the application form filling process. If there is a mismatch in the dates, then they stand a risk of cancellation of their application form.

    FAQs for NEET Application

    1. Can we make changes in the application form after submission?

    Yes, if you want to change your details, then NTA provides a correction window to modify your application. However, the candidate is allowed to change only a few details.

    2. If your fees deducted two times, then will it be refunded?

    Yes, if you have paid your application fees twice, then the authority will accept it only once, and you will get the refund back in 7 days.

    3. Is the NEET application form available offline?

    No, NEET application form is available in online mode only which needs to be submitted on the official website.

    4. Are there any precautions that must be taken care of for NEET?

    Yes, you should not share your login password with anybody and keep it to yourself.

    5. I forgot my password, can I retrieve it again?

    Yes, you can retrieve your password. You can recover your password by writing to the authority, or you can do it by answering the security question.

    6. Is it allowed to attach a photo without name and signature?

    No, you have to attach a photo having your name and signature on it.

    7. If I am not able to come for the exam, will my application fees be refunded?

    No, it will not be refunded under any circumstances.

    8. If I failed in one subject, but my aggregate is above 50%, am I eligible for the exam?

    No, you need to have a passing score in every subject.

    9. My name on the school documents and Aadhar card is different, will I face any problems?

    Your name must be the same in every document.

    10. If I have passed my 12th class with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from open school, can I still apply?

    Yes, students of the open school can also apply.
