Meghalaya Public Service Commission Recruitment Notification

Meghalaya Public Service Commission is state government body which recruits and promotes the state civil services officers in the state of Meghalaya. The state government of Meghalaya conducts Meghalaya PSC (Meghalaya Public Service.

Commission) Examination. Meghalaya Public Service Commission has announced recruitment notification for Meghalaya Civil Service Junior Grade Posts in 2017. Interested candidates can get the information regarding vacancy, dates, age limit and other criteria to be met for appearing in the examination below.

There are total 38 Junior Grade Civil Service posts vacancies in Meghalaya PSC 2017.

Plan Of Examination

Meghalaya Civil Services examination is held in three successive stages:

  • Preliminary Examination (Objective)
  • Mains Examination (Written)
  • Interview.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Minimum educational qualification required for the above mention post is passed a Bachelor Degree in any discipline from a recognised university under central and state act in India according to the rules and regulation.

Nationality: - A candidate must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit

He/ She must have attained the age of 21 years but must not have exceeded the age of 27 years. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Castes. 3. For persons with Physical Disabilities (PWD’s) age is relaxable by 10 years (15 years for ST/SC) applicable to post where a reservation is admissible to PWDs as per Govt. Notification.

Exam Fees

No Postal Order, Cash payment, Money Order or Court Fee Stamps will be accepted in lieu of MPSC Challan (for Offline Candidates). Fees once paid will not be refunded nor will it be held in reserve for any other examination. An amount of Rs. 460 it to be paid through MPSC Challan on the submission of Application.

PERSONS WITH DISABILITY (PWD) are exempted from paying fees, but they will be required to produce proof of their claim.

Half the rate for SC/ST who are a permanent resident of the State of Meghalaya.

  • Offline Mode: Candidates should present their applications completed in all respect at i. Office Counter of MPSC Office, Headquarter, Shillong. ii. MPSC Cell at Tura, Nongstoin, Jowai, Baghmara, Williamnagar & Nongpoh on any working day between 10:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. till the last date Applications can also be sent by registered post so as to reach the Commission’s office at Shillong not later than the last date of the advertisement.

  • Online Mode: Applicants may also apply online through the MPSC website viz  Candidates can read the instruction on the web page carefully before applying online.

Note: As per the terms and conditions of this Advertisement for the PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION only which is the first phase of the procedure of recruitment to the Meghalaya Civil Service, Junior Grade. Candidates who are declared by the Commission to have qualified for admission to the MAIN EXAMINATION will have to apply again, in a detailed APPLICATION FORM which would be supplied to them later on.
