JEE Main 2019 Answer Key - Download Official Question Paper and Answer Key (April 2019)

NTA has released the official answer key for the JEE Main exam held on April 2019 on April 16, 2019. Candidates can download the answer key from official website using their application number and DOB or password. JEE Main exam for Paper 1 and 2 held on April 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 in two sessions (Forenoon and Afternoon).

Bonus and Incorrect Questions in JEE Main 2019

As per various experts, JEE Main exam had some wrong questions. Apart from that, some question did not have the correct options to be selected as the answer. In such cases, NTA offered the students full marks (bonus) on their scores. There was no negative marking for those wrong questions attempted, and every student who appeared for the exams was awarded bonus marks. According to the official JEE answer key, it was confirmed that there were twenty-two incorrect questions for which bonus marks will be awarded.

Steps to challenge the JEE Main 2019 Answer Key

There is a possibility that certain answers are not correct even on the JEE Main official answer key. In the case where the students feel that the answer is wrong, they can easily log in with their email ids and challenge the answers.

Here are the steps that are to be followed in case you are to challenge the answer key:

  • Visit the official website.
  • You will find a tab with “challenge answer key”, click on it and log in with the help of your password and your application details.
  • When you log in, you will find a tab with “challenge answer key,” click on it.
  • After you click on it, you will find 90 question IDs for Paper I and 80 questions IDs for Paper II.
  • If the student feels that the correct answer to a specific question is different, then the student can use the checkboxes on the screen to choose the correct answer. The student can select one or more options.
  • After the student has selected the desired option, all they need to do is click on the button “Save your claims.
  • Once you click on the save button and move on to the next screen, you will find a list of all the answers that you have challenged. Here, you will be able to upload supporting documents and pictures to support your answers. All the pictures must be put in a single file and should be in a PDF format.
  • Once you have selected the file and uploaded, you have to make a mandatory payment of INR 1000 through debit cards, credit cards or net banking.
