Indian Forest Service Exam Results declared- UPSC Exam Result
A total of 110 candidates have successfully cleared the Indian Forest Service Exam. The result was declared the results by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Tuesday, an official release stated.
Of these 110 candidates, 48 candidates are from General category, 37 from OBC, 17 from scheduled castes and 8 from scheduled tribes.
The final selection that was declared was based on the results of the Indian Forest Service (Main) examination which was held in November 2016 followed by the personality test in February-March, 2017.
The result is available and can be accessed on the UPSC website www.upsc.gov.in.
According to the release, marks of candidates are expected to be available on the UPSC s website within 15 days from the date of publication of result. Therefore, marks should be published on the UPSC website by April 5th or 6th, 2017.
UPSC has set up a Facilitation Counter near Examination Hall Building in its campus. Candidates may obtain any information/clarification regarding their examination/recruitment on working days between 10am to 5pm in person or over telephone Nos. 011- 23385271/23381125/23098543, as mentioned in the release.
The Indian Forest Service is a central civil service of Group A and Group B under the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India (GoI). The Indian Forest Service aims at scientifically managing and protecting the forests of India.The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Indian Forest Service Examination once a year to recruit officers for this service.
