Important Instructions related IES/ESE Admit Cards
The admit card for IES 2019 will consist of all the important information of the candidate, in addition to the exam centre, exam date and the duration of the examination.
- If there is any discrepancy found in the admit card, it is important to bring it to the notice of the concerned authority.
- Candidate must go through all the instructions given thoroughly.
- In addition to the IES admit card, the candidate should carry an original photo ID proof as well as a photocopy of the same.
- Gadgets like mobile and calculator are prohibited in the examination hall.
- Fill up the OMR sheet carefully according to the instructions given.
- Keep the admit card safe and secure until the last stage of the selection process is complete.
Admit Card for Prelims Exam
The admit card for the Preliminary Examination will be issued to those candidates whose applications have been successfully received and accepted by the exam conducting authority. All the candidates who are appearing in the Prelims examination need to download the admit card in December 2018. The admit cards can be downloaded from the official website. The Prelims examination is conducted in two papers, which carry a total of 500 marks. The first paper consists of General Studies and Engineering Aptitude, while the second has Engineering discipline-specific questions.
The candidates can download their admit card from the official website using their registration number and date of birth. The admit card will provide details about the examination, the timing, centre etc. Candidates are allowed in the examination hall ONLY IF they are carrying their Admit card.
Admit Card for Mains Exam
The ESE admit card for the Mains examination will only be issued to those candidates who have qualified the Prelims examination. The Mains examination consists of engineering specific subjects worth 600 marks. The admit card for the same will be issued online around mid-June and will be obtainable from the official website. Candidates must carry the admit card with them in order to appear for the examination. The admit card should be kept safely until the examination &interview process is complete.
Admit Card for Personality Test
Once the results of the Mains examination are declared, UPSC will issue a notification to the qualified candidates with an e-letter for the Personality Test. Next, UPSC will issue the IES admit cards to the qualified entrants through their website. No summon letter will be sent by post. The personality test will carry 200 marks.
Candidates must carry their admit card to attend the Personality test, which is the last stage of the IES examination.
