Essential Steps on HPCL Recruitment Application Form 2019

The process for HPCL recruitment is carried out in three steps and the candidates can make application request for a single engineering discipline only. Candidates may refer to the table above for the information of which one of the GATE paper is allocated for which specific branch.

Step 1: Registration

  • To register, the candidates must click on the career opportunities tab present on the www.hindustanpetroleum.com website.
  • Please note that the HPCL registration for job recruitment will only occur after you’ve downloaded the admit card for GATE 2019, wherein you will find the registration number. The candidates can then log in by using the given registration number to register.

Step 2: Filling the form of application and the submission of the same

One the registration process is done, the candidate must fill in the form keeping in mind the following information:

  • Educational qualifications
  • Work experience
  • Personal details
  • Important details concerning the GATE 2019 examination such as paper code, registration number
, etc.

After filling the form, the candidates can upload their passport size photograph and resume according to the details mentioned below.

  • After the details are submitted, the candidates will receive a 12 digit application number of HPCL.

The candidates can download and have a print of the form of application, which they must be protected as it is needed at different milestones in the process of recruitment.

Step 3: The Fee Payment For The Application

The candidates belonging to the General and OBC category are obligated to pay a non-refundable amount of ₹275, which is inclusive of bank charges and service tax of ₹35.  The candidates belonging to the SC/ST or PWD categories are excused from the application fee.

  • Fee Modes
  • Online Payment: The online fee can be made via Debit/Credit Card, and the candidates will observe that the status automatically shows ‘payment received’ once the payment is successful. The candidates can take a hardcopy print of the receipt and save it for future references.
  • Offline Payment: The offline fee can be made through a bank challan. After the submission of the application, deposit the said cash amount in account number 32315049001, HPCL Powerjyoti at a bank near you
. The candidates must collect the ‘Candidate’s copy’ of the bank challan for future.

Important note: If the fee status for the form is not showing ‘payment received’ within 3 to 4 working days, in that case, the applicants are expected to email a copy of the online receipt or the challan to hpclgate@mail.hpcl.co.in.

Selection Process By HPCL Through GATE

The selection process for officers will include the following three process:

  • Shortlisting Process

The qualified candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of a determined ratio, and a merit list that is category-wise will be devised based on the various discipline available.

  • Pre-Selection Process

Depending on the sole responsibility of the HPCL management, The pre-selection tests/tools such as Personal Interviews (PI) and Group Discussion (GD) will be applied.

  • Final Selection Process

For being regarded as suitable for the final selection, the candidates must successfully qualify the medical fitness program as per the organization’s policy.

Remuneration for HPCL Recruitment through 2019 Exam Of GATE

The selected candidates will initially have to attend training for one year, and once the training is successfully completed, the candidates will be appointed at an entry level in the Management Cadre in ‘A’ grade. The salary scale will be ₹60,000-₹1,80,000 in the training period and the CTC will be about ₹16.7 lakhs per annum after the appointment.

On joining the company, the candidates will additionally be eligible to added privileges as per the company’s applicable laws. Other than the basic pay, the candidates will be given an allowance at 50% of basic pay on the following allowances:

  • Dearness Allowance (DA)
  • Cafeteria Approach (including medical benefits for family members and self
  • Retirement benefit and HRA up to 30% of basic along with an additional DA that includes Gratuity Contributory Provident Fund, and Superannuation Benefit suitable as per Corporation’s policy
  • Also,  Performance Related Pay (PRP) will also be paid to the appointed candidates as per the PSU's system.
