Gujarat Judicial Services Exam 2020: Gujarat High Court releases the official notification for Gujarat Judicial Services Civil Judge (JD) exam at its official website i.e. This year, the high court has not released any notification related to the Gujarat Judicial Services exam  yet, but it is likely to release soon. 

The Gujarat Judicial Services Exam is conducted to recruit candidates for the post of Civil Judge of the state. Each year, the commission releases a different number of vacancies for the post. Gujarat Judicial Services Vacancy Details

The High Court of Gujarat releases a certain amount of vacancies of the Civil Judge post in its official notification every year. The vacancies lie between 50-70 wherein, the pay scale ranges from Rs. 27,700 – 770 – 33,090 – 930 – 40,530 – 1080 – 44,850 + Allowances. The vacancies are bifurcated based on the category of candidates. 

The exact number of vacancies cannot be defined until the official notification releases. Last year, the high court had released 68 vacancies for Civil Judge Post. 

Gujarat Judicial Services Eligibility Criteria

Candidates willing to appear in the Gujarat Judicial Services exam must note that they should verify whether they fulfill the eligibility criteria laid down by the exam authority or not. This should be done prior to the application process. Candidates failing to fulfill the eligibility criteria will be eliminated from the later stages of the selection process. Below given are the necessary eligibility criteria for the Gujarat Judicial Services exam. 

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must possess a degree in law from a university established by law in Gujarat or by another University of India recognized for this purpose by the Governor. 
  • Candidates must be practicing as an Advocate in Courts of Civil and / or Criminal Jurisdiction on the last date fixed for submission of Online Application. 
  • Candidates, who have passed the Degree in Law from the academic year 2009-2010 and onwards, must have also passed the All India Bar Examination, in order to be considered as eligible for being termed as a Practicing Advocate. 


  • Candidates must be working in the Courts or other Allied Departments on the last date fixed for receipt of applications.
  • Candidates must have basic knowledge of computer operation. 

Age Limit

  1. General Category candidates must not have crossed 35 years of age. 
  2. SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen category candidates must not have completed 38 years of age. 
  3. The employees working in the Courts shall be allowed on a relaxation of a maximum period of 05 years or to the extent of an equal number of years for which service has been put in by him/her, whichever is less, in the upper age limit. The Upper Age Limit for such Candidates under any Category shall not exceed 40 years. 

Gujarat Judicial Services Application Process 2020

The application process for the Judicial Services exam is completely online. Candidates can go through the official website to fill the application form. The dates of the application will be available in the official notification. Till then, candidates can go through the application process given below: 

  • Go to the official website of Gujarat High Court i.e.
  • Click on “Job Application”> “Apply Now”
  • Click on the form link and open the application form. 
  • Read the instructions to fill the online application form and click on “Apply Now”. 
  • Fill the registration form and create a password for login and then click on “Continue”. 
  • Login and fill the application form, enter the educational details, and click on “Submit”. 
  • Upload the image of the signature and photograph. 
  • Pay the application fee and tick on “I Agree”. 
  • Print the application form in the end for the future. 

Note: Candidates can also correct the information by using “Edit Application Option” before final submission of the application form.

Personality Test

Gujarat Judicial Services Exam 2020 Result

Gujarat Judicial Services Result will be released for prelims, mains, and personality test separately. Candidates qualifying the prelims examination will be eligible to appear in the mains exam. The commission will release the result in pdf format containing the list of roll numbers of qualified candidates. Candidates can check their result by following the steps given below:
