Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) Recruitment through GATE 2019

Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has issued the notice to recruit Scientists 'B' in DRDO and Scientist/Engineer ‘B’ in ADA through GATE 2019 scores. DRDO operates under the Department of Defence Research and Development of Ministry of Defence. DRDO has various divisions in military technology where the Scientists work including armaments, aeronautics, electronics, advanced computing, combat vehicles, instrumentation engineering, missiles, naval systems, simulation and life sciences. Essential Steps on DRDO Recruitment Application Form 2019

Prior to the candidates filling the DRDO recruitment forms, it is necessary to register and appear for the GATE 2019 examination. The GATE 2019 admit cards have the registration number, which is required for the application process. Thus, the candidates must preserve their admit cards after the exam. Let’s take a closer look at the essential steps on DRDO recruitment.

  • Candidates have to complete the registration process by filling out their academic as well as personal details as mentioned in their original documents
  • Also, it is crucial to keep in mind that the information provided in the recruitment form must match the details presented by the candidates in the application form of GATE 2019 exam.

  • After uploading the recruitment application, a unique registration number will be generated, which has to be used for the fee payment process
  • For General/OBC candidates, the fee payment is of INR 100, but for the SC/ST/PWD and women candidates, the fee is exempted. The payment can be done online through debit card, credit card, net banking, or e-wallet
  • After the registration is done, the candidates will be informed on their registered email addresses about the same, and the candidates can view the information and take a print out of the slip generated
  • The shortlisted candidates for the personal interview (PI) round are required to carry the slip for verification purposes

The selection process for the DRDO Recruitment Assessment Center (RAC) comprises of the following:

Shortlisting of Candidates Based on the GATE 2019 Scores

The foremost selection model is obtaining passing marks in the GATE examination. If the candidate hasn’t appeared for the GATE exam, they are not eligible for the DRDO recruitment.

PI Round

For qualifying the interview procedure, the candidates belonging to the General/OBC category have to score a minimum of 70% marks in the PI round, and the SC/ST/PWD candidates must score minimum 60%.

Final Merit

If the candidate has cleared the PI round, the company will publish the final merit list by consolidating GATE 2019 scored and the PI scores.

  • The pay is expected to revise as per the directions of the Seventh Pay Grade Central Commission.
